Trip to Vaishnodevi , Dalhousie and Mcleodganj on 7th Nov 2010

November 7,2010

Got up early at 5.00 am , got ready took the the train to kurla station , from there took rickshaw to bandra terminus there we met other collegeues we were total 6 adult and two children . train was on time

November 8,2010

We reached jammu station at 4.00pm .

we decided to take the prepaid taxi to katra as we were total 8 people .they charged rs 870 for sumo, ride was comfortable , we stopped at a roadsided dhaba for some excellent paneer pakoras and tea . some of the views on the road

. Saw a lot of monkeys on the way and finally reached katra at 6.00pms check out prebooked hotel of JKTDC hotel saraswati .we have booked the hotel online . Rs-600.00 for double room regular we were disappointed with the condition of the room .the double room deluxe were good .they charged Rs-1200.00 . we shifted to deluxe room

We took dinner at Manoranjan . food was good .

we droped the decision to start walking at night as children were sleeping , we decided to start for the darshan in the morning 4.00 am

November 9,2010

At 4.00 am we started the walking towards banganga

.we had already taken the yatra slip via internet .we reached bhavan at 9.00 am . as usual we took bath at bathing ghat with icecold water . deposited the belongings at cloak room .we finished the darshan with in 1 hour .

we had lunch at Manokamna bhavan .

started walking towards Bahirav Darshan. After dharshan we started towards ardhkumari and have drashan .

by the time we reached banganga it was 8.00pm .

we took the dinner at Langar the food was good .

November 10,2010

Today was the rest day , but at 11.00 we decided to go to Mansar lake . we booked a tempo travellar for rs 2500.00 .the journey to mansar lake was good . on the way we visited Nabha Mata Mandir inside the cave .

We reached Mansar lake at 2.00pm .

on the way before Mansar we had the lunch at the dhaba . the food was very tasty and good

At mansar lake we could see the fish in the lake

, we enjoyed the paddle boating rs-100 for 60min

Next Day we left Katra for Dalhousie
